Due to district boundary changes, Madison Elementary will not have the classroom capacity to continue housing the RISE/SOAR program beginning next school year. After thoughtful planning, the district has determined that the RISE/SOAR program at Madison will relocate to O’Connor Elementary School beginning in the 2026/27 school year.
The RISE/SOAR program will move together as a whole, including:

Maintaining these familiar relationships is an essential part of supporting student success and comfort during this transition.
About O’Connor Elementary
O’Connor Elementary is located at 4840 E. Adobe Street, approximately three miles north of Madison on Higley Road. The school has the same floor plan as Madison Elementary, with a similar classroom layout. This consistency will help provide a sense of familiarity and continuity for students.

Transportation & Siblings
Transportation will continue to be provided for RISE/SOAR students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Siblings who currently attend Madison Elementary may either remain at Madison or attend O’Connor Elementary, based on family preference.
Transportation for siblings will be provided only if:
The sibling has transportation included in their IEP, or
The family resides within the boundaries of the school of choice
